Stanford engineers Mark Cutkosky and David Lentink developed this bird-inspired robotic drone that can mimic how birds fly, perch and carry objects. It consists of an upper half of an ordinary quadrotor drone for flying and a lower half of a pair of 3D-printed clawed feet based upon which of the peregrine falcon.
