CBS Reveals Late Show With Stephen Colbert Replacement
Digest more
While CBS may be getting out of the late-night game, one assumes that if Stephen Colbert wants to host another talk show or other comedy series, he will have his choice of options. Colbert has made it clear he would have stayed with The Late Show for a long time if given the chance, and so he's going to need something new to keep him busy.
CBS briefly replaced James Corden's "The Late Late Show" with "Comics Unleashed" starting in 2023 after Corden stepped away from late-night. This time slot after "The Late Show" was later occupied by the comedy game show "After Midnight," which was canceled in 2025 and replaced by "Comics Unleashed" again.
Following CBS’ cancellation of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, the network announced Byron Allen's Comics Unleased will fill the 11:35 p.m. late-night time slot starting May 22.
The network has confirmed its new late-night lineup plans.
